Full throttle in the Saker GT

06 July 2025

YouTuber and motorsport enthusiast Tom Schütze was able to take a seat in the Saker GT for the first time at the Pistenclub track day in Spa - in the passenger seat next to Tobias Möhring. His verdict: ‘The driving experience is so awesome because you're practically lying on the floor!’

As part of a trackday organised by the Pistenclub - an established and always excellently organised event for us - the YouTuber and passionate motorsport enthusiast was able to get a taste of racing air in the Saker for the first time, in the passenger seat of Tobias Möhring at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

Tom Schütze is regularly active at various racing events, takes part in trackdays himself and shares authentic insights into everyday motorsport life, technical details about vehicle conversions and personal travelogues on his YouTube channel. Incidentally, this is exactly where Tom and Tobias met: at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at a track club event. Today was finally the day - the first drive in the Saker was on the agenda. Tobias Möhring, Saker Managing Director and himself a passionate racing driver, took Tom out on the track in the Saker GT. Before setting off, the two of them had an intensive chat about the construction of the Saker racing cars. In the meantime, Tom had even visited us in our workshop - you can find out more on his YouTube channel.

The day was a complete success: Right from the start, there was a relaxed, open and at the same time enthusiastic atmosphere. You could immediately sense that there is a real passion for motorsport here. Tobias spoke with palpable passion about his project and the many possible uses of a Saker - from historic hill climbs and sports car sprinting, in which there is now once again a dedicated Saker Cup, to trackdays on international race tracks.

Between technical shop talk and discussions about driving dynamics, there were always moments to laugh, anecdotes from the world of motorsport and an almost informal atmosphere. Whether trying out the cockpit or talking about personal driving experiences, it was clear to see how much love goes into both the production of the vehicles and their use on the track. At the end of the day, one thing above all remained: genuine enthusiasm, petrol in the blood - and the feeling of being able to really let off steam on the racetrack at 200 km/h.

By the way: If you are looking for pure driving pleasure, want to switch off and forget about everyday life, Saker is the right place for you. Neither complicated set-up adjustments nor a team of mechanics are required to drive our vehicles professionally. The driving fun can even be shared - the two-seat configuration makes it possible. Saker Sportscars can be driven at numerous national and international events. In addition to the Pistenclub trackdays, we are also represented at endurance races, regularity tests, historic events, hill climbs and many other formats. If our vehicles and the opportunity to drive on dream circuits such as the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps sound just as exciting to you as they do to us, please get in touch!

A big thank you goes to the Pistenclub for organising this passionate and professional series of events, which makes driving real racing cars possible for people of all levels of experience - and offers beginners in particular a unique platform on legendary GP circuits. We're already looking forward to the next one!
