It is the second team title for the team from Meuspath, the first DTM title of his career for Ayhancan Güven - and Morris Schuring secured the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award. A total of nine teams travelled to the Hockenheimring for the final race weekend of the season with a chance of winning the title. Manthey already secured the team title on Saturday - after a victory by Thomas Preining and a strong third place by Morris Schuring. Ayhancan Güven completed the successful weekend with fifth place on Saturday and an impressive victory in Sunday's race. The decision remained open until the final lap, but in the end Güven's four-point lead over Lucas Auer was enough to secure the drivers' title. ‘I've been working towards this success since I started motorsport as a five-year-old,’ said Ayhancan Güven after the race. "To have won this title now, at the age of 27, means an incredible amount to me - for myself, my family, my fans and my home country. I am immensely proud and would like to thank the entire team. Being part of this team means so much to me. To end our second season together with this success is simply unbelievable."
KÜS would like to congratulate its technology partner Manthey and the successful driver trio on this extraordinary achievement.
