Both are new to the team and have set themselves the goal of continuing their winning streak: in 2022, KÜS Team Bernhard had taken two victories and podium finishes each in the DTM, which also meant the first DTM victory for Porsche.
Ayhancan Güven was, among other things, runner-up in the ADAC GT Masters in 2022, together with Christian Engelhardt. Laurin Heinrich's successes include a podium finish in the overall standings of the Porsche Supercup (also in 2022). Set up like this, boss Timo Bernhard believes his team has a very good chance of a successful season in the 2023 DTM. The first of the eight race weekends, which will be hosted by the ADAC for the first time, will take place in Oschersleben from 26 to 28 May. Further races will be held in Zandvoort/NL, (23-25 June), at the Norisring (7-9 July), Nürburgring (4-6 August), Lausitzring (18-20 August) Sachsenring (8-10 September) and Spielberg/A (22-24 September). The season will end with the DTM finale in Hockenheim from 20 to 22 October.
Marijan Griebel: German Rally Champion on course for success
In the German Rally Championship (DRM), KÜS-backed Marijan Griebel will also be competing with a new car. After three years with the Saintéloc Racing team in the Citroën C3 Rally2, the 33-year-old switches to the brand new Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 from Pole Promotion. Co-driver is, as last year, Tobias Braun. For Marijan Griebel, it's all about the hat-trick in the DRM after two victories in 2018 and 2021. The Hahnweiler native, who is a police superintendent in his main profession, is very confident that he can achieve this. Marijan Griebel was also Junior European Champion in two consecutive years (2016 and 2017). The 2023 DRM season kicked off with the ADAC Rally Erzgebirge in Stollberg on 31 March and 1 April. This is followed by the ADAC Actronics Rallye Sulingen (May 5 and 6), the ADAC Rallye Mittelrhein in Wittlich (June 9 and 10) and the ADAC Saarland Rallye (August 18 and 19). The final event will be the ADAC Rally Stemweder Berg in Lübbeke on 29 and 30 September.
