The city of Meppen in the Emsland region is well known for the RWE power plant Meppen-Hüntel, which was built in 1974 and shut down in 2000. Plans to modify the site as for the construction of a contemporary biomass plant were rejected, and so the property lay fallow before the Dutch investor Hennie van der Most bought it in 2004 and built the Funpark Meppen on it. The Funpark with its kart track and an off-road course is all about automobiles. Thus, it was only a logical consequence that in 2016 the Racepark Meppen was opened, which offers exciting curve combinations under the motto “fun, speed and action”. Depending on the requirements, the course can be used as a 400 or 1,000 meter oval route, or as a 2.3 kilometer circuit. Due to its relatively short distance and its well visible curves, the Racepark is not only suitable for advanced drivers, but also for beginners. Experience a Trackday Racepark Meppen with the Pistenclub, during which you can optimize your driving technique on an extraordinary racetrack.
